TREATMENT GOALS

Clinical staff members provide clients with assessment, individual and group therapy, and therapeutic after school and summer school services and case management. Parents, or other adults who are responsible for a client's care, are provided parent education, support groups and family therapy. These services help establish and maintain the link between a child's school life and family life. Clinicians provide the family with resource planning services and effective behavior management in the home. A basic premise of our program is the belief that a student's progress in the program is greatly enhanced by the involvement and support of the family unit.

Goals of therapeutic services are:

    • Become aware of responsibilities
    • Learn to deal appropriately with different situations and systems
  • To increase self esteem
    • Learn to participate in numerous small group activities
    • Learn to acknowledge and delight in achievements of self and others
